long story short: two women faked being adrift.. they faked the whole story and floated around for 5 months. they actually got rescued by some south east asian fisherman, but they refused their help (because that wouldnt give them any PR), they waited for a US navy ship instead. on question why they refused help from the fisherman, they said tried to ram their boat and killed them. they also claimed they got attacked by "coordinated sharks", yes - they did say that.

The reality is this young and inexperienced ( at beginning) crew sailed and kept up with the top teams, no they did not win but the hot teams did not blow them away either! The veterans should take note! Cheers Warren

That was really inspiring to hear the retail businesses taking on the challenge of reducing unnecessary plastic. What about the industrial businesses and local government? We were doing a large machining job which produced a small dumpster full of virgin plastic waste per week, Non of the trash haulers where interested in taking it for recycling . It had to go to a landfill! We don't do that job any more. Cheers Warren in USA.

Aaaaah the joys of figuring out the best downwind course, sometimes I get it right, sometimes I don't! Best of luck everyone!

Almost 2 days in and they were forced into a northern route by the wind shift but they are in good company of mapfere and dongfong! While they are slow at the moment they are in good current so getting 2-3 knts of free ride. Whether that is enough to stay with the fast 4 in the south only time will tell. I know, being the last in the race is not good - I have my good share of last places..., but you are By Far The Winners of All VOR Editions! :) This is a really amazing team and no matter the results, you guys are awesome! I know it's all above tweaking but the red boats got many months of extra 'tweaking' side by side until they found the exact tweaks with the minimum of experimenting. The one big 'none' one design aspect about this race that needs tweaking , limiting time on water so nobody starts with an unfair advantage. But I believe in you so keep at it I know you can do it!
